The European Federation for open and Distance learning is an international network for Open and Distance Learning (ODL). The federation offers services in favour of professional organizations that are involved in the development, distribution and application of technology based on ODL. School for the Future co-operates with and makes use of the favours of EFODL.

Met de EFODL-partners wordt ook samengewerkt in het Leonardo da Vinci project S2net. Hierin wordt internationaal kennis uitgewisseld ten aanzien van invoering van E-learning in beroepssectoren en de mogelijkheden van e-learning om sociale uitsluiting tegen te gaan.
